SWVP is a secure photo swap app designed to keep your exchanges private, fun, and safe. We never store your photos longer than necessary.
Is this like PhotoSwap?
Yes! If you remember PhotoSwap, SWVP brings back that same spontaneous photo sharing experience. Take a photo, get one back from someone anywhere in the world. After PhotoSwap shut down in 2024, we built SWVP to recreate that connection through photography.
How many people are using SWVP?
We're a growing community rebuilding from scratch. The more users who join, the faster swaps happen and the better the experience becomes for everyone. Invite your friends to help us bring photo swapping back!
Why aren't my swaps instant?
Swap speed depends on how many users are active at the same time. PhotoSwap had millions of users built over 12 years—we're starting fresh. As our community grows, swaps will become faster and more frequent. You can help by inviting friends who might enjoy photo swapping.
What happened to PhotoSwap?
PhotoSwap shut down in 2024 after running for over 12 years and facilitating over 1 billion photo swaps. SWVP was created to bring back the photo swapping experience for people who miss that spontaneous photo sharing experience.
How do I verify my email?
After signing up, check your inbox for a verification email. Click the link, then return to the app and tap Refresh.
I didn't receive the verification email!
Be sure to check your spam or junk folder. Still nothing? Open the app and tap Resend Verification Email on the verification screen.
How is my privacy protected?
All photos are encrypted in transit and deleted from our servers after they are swapped. Your data is never sold or shared with third parties.
How do I report abuse or block a user?
Use the in-app report function, or contact us at support@swvpapp.com.
Can I use SWVP on multiple devices?
SWVP is currently available only on iPhone/iOS devices. You can log in on any iPhone with your verified email and password, but for privacy, only one active session is recommended. Android and web versions are not yet available.
Are screenshots allowed in SWVP?
No. For privacy and security, screenshots are strictly prohibited in SWVP. The app uses advanced screenshot detection to automatically warn and restrict accounts that attempt to capture or record the screen. Multiple violations can result in a temporary or permanent ban.
Can I upload photos from my camera roll?
No, all photos in SWVP must be taken live in the app. For safety and authenticity, uploading saved or old photos from your camera roll is not permitted. Every swap requires a real-time, live photo.
